The 51-year-old actress took some time for herself in a luxurious marble bathtub in Paris on Monday, October 2, and posted a makeup-free selfie on Instagram. Vergara’s hair was pulled back, and she had a clean face in the photo, which was taken when she was in the bathtub. “2 am jet lag planning how to get this bathtub to LA #Paris,” Vergara quipped in the post’s caption.

Earlier on Monday, Vergara posted further photos and videos from her stay in Paris, including a meal she spent with her designer friend and close confidante, Valentina Micchetti. Vergara posted a slideshow on Tuesday, October 3, showing the two of them nibbling on various French desserts. Vergara captioned the Instagram carousel, “The most important step today,” with the phrase.

Vergara wore a sequined jumpsuit with a sweetheart neckline and flared legs for the big night, and everyone took notice. Kate Moss, Mary J. Blige, Heidi Klum, Viola Davis, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Anne Hathaway were among the other celebrities in attendance, and they all stole the show in their sparkling costumes by top designers including Versace, Tony Ward, and Balmain.

Vergara was in New York for the Clooney Foundation’s 2023 Albie Awards before catching a flight to Paris. In a ceremony held on September 28th, the group recognized five “courageous defenders of justice who are at great risk for what they do,” as stated on the event’s official website. George Clooney and Amal Clooney, who started the organization in 2016 to promote justice in the world’s courts, communities, and education, sponsored the event at the New York Public Library.

Earlier this year, in July, Manganiello and Vergara released a joint statement announcing their desire to divorce. “As two people who care deeply for one another, we respectfully request privacy as we begin this next chapter of our lives together.”

Vergara’s latest trips came while the actress was going through a divorce from her husband, Joe Manganiello.

In August, Vergara filed legal paperwork, asking the court to enforce the prenuptial agreement she and Manganiello had signed before they were married. Legal papers reveal that the actress wants to keep earning the same amount she did before and throughout her relationship with Manganiello.

A source told Us Weekly exclusively after the couple’s separation made headlines that Vergara and Manganiello had “been living separate lives for about a year” before they finally decided to end their relationship. She likes to get out with friends, while he prefers to remain in, so the two don’t spend much time together, the source says.

Their wedding took place in November of 2015.

The AGT judges attended an event honoring heroic people and social champions who have given their lives to justice at the Clooney Foundation for Justice (named after Justice Albie Sachs for his key role in eliminating apartheid in South Africa). Darren Walker, president of the Ford Foundation, co-hosted the event at the New York Public Library.

The 51-year-old ex-star of ABC’s Modern Family went for a black, sparkly strapless Nadine Merabi jumpsuit. She accessorized with a set of Lorraine Schwartz earrings.

Vergara and Joe Manganiello, 46, announced their separation after seven years of marriage, so the ladies night out comes more than three months after the announcement.

“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the pair told Page Six. “As two people who care deeply for one another, we respectfully request privacy as we begin this next chapter of our lives together.”

Two days after the separation was made public, Manganiello formally requested a divorce. PEOPLE have received documents showing that he gave the cause for the breakup as “irreconcilable differences” and that the date of separation was July 2. The two had a prenup, he added.

PEOPLE has learned that in a separate court filing, Vergara asked the judge to maintain the prenuptial agreement between the pair. She also asked the court to affirm that her jewelry, artwork, and “other personal effects” are rightfully hers to keep. She also listed her pre- and post-marriage earnings as assets.

In 2014, Vergara and Manganiello met during a luncheon for White House correspondents. In 2015, the happy couple wed in Palm Springs, Florida. When the actress was photographed spending her 51st birthday in Italy without him, suspicions immediately began spreading that all was not well in paradise.

A source close to the couple told PEOPLE after the divorce was finalized that Vergara and Manganiello “differ immensely in style and what they like to do, although, during the marriage, each tried to put the other’s interests ahead of their own to make it work.”

At the season 18 finale of America’s Got Talent, the supermodel judge, 50, spoke up to people about her off-camera activities with Vergara, 51, likening them to the ladies’ evenings out of a classic HBO series.

“We’re very Sex and the City, I have to say,” Klum stated on Tuesday during the final episode filming in Pasadena, California. We act like four teenage females when we go out. Simon Cowell’s fiancee Lauren, Howie Mandel’s wife Terry, Sofia, and I often socialize together.

“So when we sit there at the table and we’re stuffing down whatever it is and we’re giggling and drinking our martinis, I’m always like, ‘We’re so Sex and the City,” Klum said. “That is really funny! Yes, that’s us.

Who is the group’s Carrie Bradshaw? When asked which celebrity she thinks best resembles Sarah Jessica Parker’s role, Klum answered, “I give Carrie to Sofa.” As a matter of fact, Klum is more like Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones than the character herself.

Klum and Vergara have become quite close over the years. In fact, she gushed that if she had to choose between Simon Cowell (age 63) and Howie Mandel (age 67) to duplicate the balancing act of the Ramadhani Brothers from the season 18 finale, she’d go with the actress.

“Not because I don’t know, not because I trust my life, but because I feel like we would have the best groove together,” Klum told people. And we still want to present a decent appearance. And she would always put me in the lead.”

When asked whether she would be willing to repay the favor, Klum said, “Of course!” ‘I’d take her on my back. She assured me, “I would make sure she didn’t fall.”

The Ramadhani Brothers’ incredible performance on Tuesday night astounded the adjudicator.

“They are so memorable and amazing,” Klum said. They’re so near, but they do these maneuvers so high in the air. He had to step over it as he climbed the steps, and there were spaces in between. Obviously, he had to negotiate it.

Says the speaker, “I mean, there were so many moments where you thought, Why is this guy not falling down?” Klum went on. And with this extra piece attached to the top, he was suddenly towering above everyone. I mean, it was really bonkers.

Backstage, Klum also said that she and the judges had intended to hang out on Mandel’s yacht after the program, but that Cowell had bailed at the last minute. To be polite, [Howie] wanted to take us out on his beautiful boat. He was working with a fantastic cook. Delicious sushi was on the table. According to Klum’s theory, “I think he wanted to show off his boat.”

All eleven finalists had their last performances on Tuesday’s AGT program before the winner was revealed on Wednesday.
